A low budget film maker who shoots all of his movies on a mobile phone has been announced as Darkus Magazines north east filmmaker of the year.
Dean Midas from Willington, Durham was announced as the winner today (12th November).

Dean Midas writes and directs all of his short horror films based on his characters The Rag Dolly, Eve Valentine and Sayer Hicks.
His latest film The Legend of Sayer Hicks has already had over 45K views in just four weeks.
