Tributes have been paid to a well-loved North East broadcaster, Peter Grant.
Peter was well known across the airwaves on many stations across the North East and Yorkshire, from Magic, Hallam FM, Durham FM, Radio Aire, TFM and later BBC Radio Newcastle and Tees.
He was also seen on television screens, presenting programmes for Made In Tyne and Wear as well as hosting travel and weather updates on BBC Look North breakfast. He also hosted many charity and business award ceremonies over the years.
Many tributes have been shared across social media by listeners and colleagues.

‘My thoughts are with Peter and his family. I did my first ever radio car live with Peter on Boxing Day 2013 at the Seaburn dip @bbcnewcastle. I was very nervous but he put me at ease with his humour, fun and kindness. RIP.’
