Small to medium-sized businesses in the North East can gain the tools they need to deal with a range of regulatory requirements at a free event tomorrow, Tuesday 28 January from 9am to 1pm, at Hardwick Hall Hotel, near Sedgefield.

You find out all the details here and, if it’s up your street, book your free place here.

Hosted by Durham County Council, ‘Simplifying Regulation – Getting it right first time’ will provide advice and support to ensure businesses comply with legislation, as part of the North East Better Business for All Partnership, and the Health and Safety Executive.

Cllr Carl Marshall, the council’s Cabinet member for economic regeneration, said: “We know it can be difficult to stay up to date with changes to legislation. It’s also not always clear which regulations apply to businesses and what is required of them to ensure they comply. This event aims to simplify the process and provide clear information and advice. I would encourage small and medium-sized businesses to come along and take advantage of the support and networking opportunities on offer.”
