This Valentine’s Day [14 February], Willow Burn Hospice is giving you a chance to win a diamond bracelet for your love in its Diamond Raffle to be drawn on 25 March 2022 at the Black Tie and Fabulous Ball.

Worth £4995, the Platinum Diamond Claw Set Line Bracelet has been donated by Berry’s Jewellers, a luxury, independent and family-owned top quality retail jewellers with a store on Grey Street in Newcastle and across the UK in Leeds, York, Nottingham, Hull and Windsor.

The prize has been donated by the Newcastle Store, located on Grey Street in the city centre. Store Manager, David Nicholson has been a long-term supporter of Willow Burn following the care his mam received at the hospice. David said:

“Willow Burn will always hold a special place in my family’s heart and I am proud to be able to support the annual ball in this way to raise as much money as possible so that other families can receive the care and support that mine did.”

Tickets are £10 each and can be purchased online at: www.willow-burn.co.uk/willow-burn-diamond-raffle or in person at the Hospice. Every two tickets sold in the Diamond Raffle will pay for one hour of vital nursing care for people living with a life limiting illness in Derwentside.

Rachel Todd, Marketing Communications Manager said: “The Diamond Raffle is just one of the fundraisers which will be taking place at the Willow Burn Black Tie and Fabulous Ball in March and this Valentine’s Day we wanted to share the love by launching the raffle before the ball, so that more people have the chance to win the beautiful piece of jewellery which has been donated by Berry’s Jewellers.

The whole team would like to say a huge thank you to Berry’s for sponsoring this raffle. We would also like to offer our gratitude to David Nicholson for his ongoing support and dedication to Willow Burn.”

The Willow Burn Black Tie and Fabulous Ball takes place on 25 March at Derwent Manor Boutique Hotel and sponsors include Deer Street Homes, Crescent Homecare and NPS Group. Sponsorship opportunities are still available and can be discussed with Rachel at the hospice.

Willow Burn is a nurse-led hospice located on Howden Bank in Lanchester and is a state-of-the-art facility offering specialist supportive, palliative and end of life care, including in-patient care, respite, day services and bereavement and family support.
