Award-winning film Director Dean Midas is returning to The Witham, Barnard Castle to shoot scenes for his new horror short.

In June 2023, Dean filmed the ending to The Devil’s Stone, a film that went onto break his opening week records.  The Legend of Sayer Hicks is the follow up and will see the return of the creepy horror villain return to the famous Arts Centre.

“I can’t thank Peter Dixon and everyone at The Witham enough. I can’t wait to return and neither can Sayer Hicks”

Dean

Dean’s latest film, Eve Valentine made it to the number one slot in the horror section of  Shortly, which promotes short films, just over a week after it was released. Twenty weeks on and the film is still riding high.

Dean is also the voice for a brand new slot on the BBC Radio Tees Breakfast show with Amy Oakden called Midas at the Movies, where he talks about the latest releases in the cinema and on streaming platforms.

Dean makes all of his films on his mobile phone and focuses on showcasing North East locations and actors.

The Legend of Sayer Hicks is released via Dean Midas Films on YouTube on October 10th.
