The Durham Stand Society and Dweebs Comedy present the Durham Comedy Festival 2025! Partly run by students, the one day event on the 26th of May will feature comedians across three different venues in Durham.
DCF25 will bring you an unmissable lineup from TV comedians to local acts from students, all in the heart of Durham city centre.
Durham’s only festival devoted solely to stand-up comedy, the one-dayer will appeal to comedy fans of all ages and walks of life, conveniently packed into one bank holiday Monday – the perfect finale to the long weekend.
We’re bringing you an amazing day of comedy, with a lineup featuring Stevie Martin (Taskmaster), Dan Tiernan (Live At The Apollo), Chris Cantrill (Alma’s Not Normal), Amy Annette (Off Menu), Joe Kent-Walters (Best Newcomer Winner at Fringe 2024) and Lorna Rose Treen (Dave’s Joke of the Fringe 2023).
The day will also feature Durham University’s own Durham Revue and The Stand Society, as well as The Joke Clinic (the critically acclaimed YouTube series hosted by Charlie Bowers and Walter Jacks) and Newcastle favourites Shy Bairns, with more acts yet to be announced!
Co-Founder of the festival & comedian Ben Lycett says,
“We’re delighted to be bringing this event to Durham, the first of its kind in the North East. This is a chance to watch some of the most exciting acts from across the country work up their new shows!”
Tickets range from £3 to £8, and are available from durhamcomedyfest.co.uk.
There are an extremely limited number of financially accessible ‘Day Pass’ tickets, which will grant you access to all 15 shows across seven time slots in the three venues, Fabio’s Bar, The Holy GrAle, and The Dun Cow.
