The free all-day festival, in association with Bishop Auckland College, will transform the college grounds into a vibrant celebration of belonging, unity, and local pride.
Headlining the main stage is the sensational Danny Beard, bringing charisma, uniqueness, and talent to Bishop Auckland. They’ll be joined by a nostalgic 90’s Experience Set packed with iconic anthems, the one and only Eastenders star Cheryl Fergison lighting up the stage with her larger-than-life energy, a dynamic Vengaboyz Experience that will have the crowd on their feet, and a dazzling ABBA Duo performing all the classic pop hits.
Beyond the stage, the celebrations continue with a whole host of attractions for all ages. Visitors can enjoy karaoke, fairground rides, a bouncy castle, exhibitions and an array of food and gift stalls.
Whether you’re joining for the music, the family-friendly fun, or simply to stand in solidarity and celebration with the LGBTQ+ community, Bishop Auckland Pride 2025 promises something for everyone.
“This year, it’s all about taking pride in Bishop Auckland – in our town, our communities, and our families. After months of politics dominating the headlines, we’ve got something that’s the absolute opposite of all that: fun, celebratory entertainment, and revelry. Partnering once again with Bishop Auckland College means a lot to us, it’s a reminder of what can happen when the town comes together with positivity and purpose. This year’s festival is a celebration of EVERYONE who makes this place what it is – different, creative, and full of heart.”
Thomas Wales, Director of Baccanalia
The event is part of a wider Bishop Auckland Pride festival programme, which will include a series of fringe events and themed activities throughout the town around the main festival. Activities include a bottomless drag brunch, a community clean-up day, and a pride picnic for Father’s Day. For full details go to www.baccanalia.co.uk.
For the second year running, Bishop Auckland Town Council has contributed generously to the Pride programme, supporting local regeneration, economic growth, and social cohesion for the people of Bishop Auckland and its visitors and businesses. Baccanalia are proud to consider Bishop Auckland Town Council a leading cultural partner.
