Alfies Dream

He may be known for his award winning horror films, but Durham director Dean Midas is about to start work on a kids zombie film.

Alfie’s Dream has been written by Gordon Hindson, who is a well respected north east personal trainer, actor & support artist.

During his career, Gordon has worked with the likes of Stephen Graham, Pierce Brosnan and Sheridan Smith and now he has turned his attention to writing his own film with the help of his friend Dean Midas.

Mr Hindson said,

“Once I started putting pen to paper, there was only one person that I wanted to direct my story and that was Dean Midas, his work is class”

Mr Midas said,

“This is a huge honour and I want to thank Gordon for this amazing opportunity, I will do my best to bring his fantastic story to life”

Mr Midas, from Willington, is a low budget filmmaker who shoots all of his movies on a mobile phone. His latest horror short, The Review is his biggest to date.

The cast of young actors will be joined by respected local actors and coaches, Libby Walker, who recently appeared on Coronation Street & The Dumping Ground and Michael Wilson-Dukes who has appeared in Inspector George Gently, Vera and The Paradise.
