National Carers Week is an annual event that highlights the needs of unpaid carers. Unpaid Carers are those who are caring for a friend or relative. This year CW takes place between the 7th and 13th June and the campaign is: Making Carers Visible and Valued. In aid of Carers Week, Durham County Carers Support is running 2 webinars to specifically highlight their Carer Friendly Employer Award which is being funded by Durham County Council.
The webinar is a 20min taster session for employers/managers on why it makes business sense to follow 4 easy steps to support their staff who are also juggling caring responsibilities. The webinar is free and, because we are unable to hold a face-to-face event with coffee and biscuits, we are offering Costa vouchers to those who attend.
The webinars take place on Tuesday 8th or Thursday 10th June at 11am.
