Wharton Park has become an open-air gallery for the first time with Small Pleasures: A Wild Imagining, a free outdoor exhibition celebrating community creativity and the value of public green spaces.
Created by artist Zara Worth with Creativity Works, in partnership with Durham County Council and Into the Light, the exhibition features 21 display boards showcasing miniature gold leaf sculptures and personal stories created by local park users. Together, the artworks explore the memories, experiences and connections that make Wharton Park such a valued part of community life.
The free exhibition is open to all visitors at Wharton Park.
