County Durham Kids Shine in Zombie-Football Comedy Alfie’s Dream by Dean Midas

Alfie’s Dream is a family-friendly, comedy short film that combines the themes of zombies and football.  It’s out now and attracting a lot of attention.

“It’s all my kid’s been talking about”

“That film is class. Spread the word”

“Must watch. So funny. Watching on repeat”

Award-winning filmmaker Dean Midas, best known for his horror shorts, has embarked on this surprisingly new direction this spooky season.

The cast of Alfie’s Dream is mainly made up of kids from around the County Durham area.

It was written by personal trainer, actor, and support artist Gordon Hindson. The rip-roaring script is full of juvenile jokes, jolly japes and lots of family friendly zombie action.

Mr Hindson has worked with stars including Stephen Graham, Pierce Brosnan, and Sheridan Smith.

Mr Midas said,

“After years of creating scares, I wanted to be part of something special that my own family and a younger audience could enjoy,”

The film features a fantastic cast of young north east actors alongside Libby Walker, who recently appeared in Coronation Street and The Dumping Ground, and Michael Wilson-Dukes, who was in Inspector George Gently, Vera, and The Paradise.

Alfie’s Dream is available to watch for free on YouTube via Dean Midas Films.
