The Red Sky Foundation, formerly the Red Sky Ball, has joined forces with Durham-based Castle Insurance, which will not only be providing insurance to the organisation, but will also help boost funds for the charity.

The new partnership means that the family run business, which has been in operation for 30 years, will offer the Foundation’s supporters and partners a range of special offers and discounts with a percentage of any new policies going back to the charity.
The Red Sky Foundation helps babies and children needing coronary care across the North East and raises hundreds of thousands of pounds to fund various cardiac related projects and to purchase life-saving machinery to treat patients in the Children’s Heart Unit at Newcastle Freeman Hospital, Sunderland Royal Hospital l and James Cook Hospital in Teesside.
The charity’s founder, Sergio Petrucci said: “We’re delighted to have entered into this partnership with Castle Insurance.
“They’ve been brilliant at providing our charity with the most comprehensive levels of insurance so that we can concentrate on making the huge impact on the lives of so many people and their families who care for cardiac related illnesses.”
He added,” We’re always keen to widen our network of supporters and continue to look for commercial partners who are keen to hear about the Red Sky story. There’s so many opportunities to get involved, and we hope other businesses will follow in Castle’s footsteps.”
Castle Insurance Service provides across the board cover, from home insurance to motor insurance and at the same time is passionate about supporting good causes in the region.
Craig Younger, Commercial Executive for Castle said, “We always strongly believe our corporate social responsibilities should centre around protecting our local communities and the people living in them.

“We’ve watched the fantastic work the Red Sky Foundation has done in recent years, so we decided it seemed a natural progression to link up and help the cause even further – so we’re donating 50 per cent of our income for any new insurance policies bought from us when a client quotes “Red Sky Foundation”.
“We really hope we will be able to bring a huge amount of additional support to this very worthy cause.
