Durham University Student Wins Miss Durham 2024, Aiming to Inspire Youth

Durham University Student Lucy-Anne Wilkinson has been crowned Miss Durham 2024 on 5th July at the Miss Great Britain North East Competition held at the Croft Hotel in Darlington.

She will now represent Durham at the Miss Great Britain finals on 18th October in Leicester. This was not just a personal triumph, but a platform for her mission to inspire young people’s self-worth and self-confidence.

As former ballet dancer, Lucy intimately understands the challenges of body confidence, a struggle that has only intensified with the rise of social media.

She aims to encourage young individuals to embrace their unique selves and develop a positive self-image..

Grateful for the opportunity that Miss Durham 2024 has provided, Lucy is eager to engage with the youth in Durham through various events.

She hopes to use her title to make a meaningful impact in the community in the North East, inspiring the next generation to believe in their potential.
