Little Movers, an award winning dance and pre-school company, started in Gateshead, and hosts classes right across the UK.
The company, who recently made the finals and won ‘Highly Commended’ at the What’s On 4 Kids Awards at Harry Potter World in London, decided to raise money for Children In Need by taking part in a ‘Get Your Strictly On’ sponsored dance in their classes across the North East and nationwide, based off of the BBC dance programme Strictly Come Dancing.
The classes also ended with a cake bake sale, in which families could bring in their treats and raise money by eating lots of cake!
Each area also had an ‘Area Champion’, where each family in a different Little Movers area won their very own ‘Get Your Strictly On’ trophy!
Melanie Buck, Managing Director of Little Movers UK said, ‘’We are incredibly proud to announce our BBC Children in Need total so far. We have raised an AMAZING £17,518.41 in our classes across the UK so far and we still have money coming in! We are so incredibly proud that this money will help so many children and families right across the UK. A huge thank you to our incredible franchisees, class leaders and families.’’
