Ramside Hall Hotel Backs Pro‑motiv8 Tournaments in Major 2026 Sponsorship Deal

A North East football organisation that hosts tournaments for thousands of young grassroots players has hit the back of the net — securing sponsorship from one of the region’s leading hotels.

Pro-motiv8 Tournaments was founded by former Middlesbrough player Dean Gordon, who, after retiring from professional football, set out to help young players nurture their passion for the sport.

And now his company – which works with more than 10,000 would-be footballers across the region – has won support from Ramside Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa for 2026.

Since setting up Pro-motiv8, Dean has been involved with hundreds of teams of young players aged between seven and 15, who regularly take part in his tournaments.

He approached Ramside Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa – which recently opened its new entertainment centre, The Pin which features interactive bar games, a bowling alley, sport bar and a state-of-the-art Top Tracer driving range – after visiting the facility.

“I have been to The Pin a few times and it’s absolutely incredible, there’s nowhere else in the North East like it,” said Dean.

“And I thought it – and the hotel – would be a fantastic match to sponsor our tournaments while we at the same time can get the word out about what amazing facilities the hotel has.”

The Pro-motiv8 Tournaments have proven so popular that Dean regularly has teams from Cumbria and Scotland travelling to take part and that has inspired him to look at rolling it out to Yorkshire and the Midlands.

The tournaments run throughout the year and are open to both girls’ and boys’ teams.

John Adamson, owner of Ramside Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa said he was delighted to be able to support the organisation.

“Sport is a great passion for everyone at Ramside,” he said.

“Along with our own championship golf courses, many of the region’s leading sports organisations hold events at the hotel.

“Pro-motiv8 Tournaments do a fantastic job in promoting grass roots football across the North East and when Dean approached us we had no hesitation in agreeing to sponsor them for 2026.”
