Woven Launches Suit Recycling Scheme in Support of St Cuthbert’s Hospice

A small, rocky island sits in the middle of a vast, calm blue sea under a clear sky that fades from light blue to white.

Durham-based independent retailer Woven has announced a new suit recycling scheme in support of St. Cuthbert's Hospice

For a limited time, customers can bring in an old suit (in resellable condition) to Woven's main store on Elvet Bridge and receive a £50 voucher towards a new suit. Not only does this give your wardrobe a refresh but it also ensures your pre-loved tailoring finds a second life in a St Cuthbert’s Hospice charity shop, helping to raise essential funds for hospice care across our region.

'At Woven, we believe great tailoring should do more than elevate your wardrobe, it should make a difference. That’s why we’re proud to announce our new charity collaboration with St Cuthbert's Hospice combining sustainable fashion with meaningful community impact through our Suit Recycling Scheme.' Woven Founder, Chris Hayes.

How the Woven Suit Recycling Scheme Works

Bring in your old suit (must be in resellable condition)

Receive a £50 voucher to use towards a new suit

Woven will donate a further £25 to St Cuthbert’s Hospice when you redeem your voucher and purchase a new suit

Your voucher will be valid for three months from the date of issue, giving you plenty of time to explore our latest collection of suits, occasion wear and modern tailoring.

Why Support St Cuthbert’s Hospice?

St Cuthbert’s Hospice is an independent charity funded primarily by voluntary giving. They play a crucial role in providing specialist palliative and end-of-life care within our community. Funds raised through their retail shops directly support patients and families during some of life’s most challenging moments.

Sustainability is becoming an increasingly important part of the fashion industry. By encouraging customers to recycle suits responsibly, we are helping to reduce textile waste while supporting a local charity that provides compassionate end-of-life care and family support services.

This partnership will allow our customers to make a positive environmental and social impact in one simple step. Instead of leaving an unworn suit in your wardrobe, you can transform it into vital funding for hospice care.

By taking part in Woven's Suit Recycling Scheme, you’re not just upgrading your tailoring but you are helping to make a real difference locally.

Refresh your wardrobe, reduce waste and support an incredible local cause.
