The award-winning comedian Ivo Graham will be calling in at Durham’s Gala Theatre this autumn to perform his acclaimed Motion Sickness show.

Ivo – the comically apologetic alumni of Oxford University and Eton – will be standing in for Seann Walsh.

Seann was due to perform at the Gala this October, but – due to landing a role in Strictly Come Dancing – he’s had to abandon his Durham gig in favour of the bright lights and glitter balls of primetime TV.

Instead, Durham’s comedy fans will be treated to a night with Ivo Graham. Now 28, Ivo was the youngest ever winner of the So You Think You’re Funny competition at the age of just 18.

Since then, Ivo has successfully appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe as well as on TV shows such as Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week, Russell Howard’s Stand Up Central, The Dog Ate My Homework, and John Richardson: Ultimate Worrier.

Ivo is also a regular on the radio programme Fighting Talk.

The manager of the Gala Theatre, Robin Byers, said, “We are thrilled to welcome Ivo to County Durham.”

“The Gala team will, of course, be following Seann’s Strictly journey and we wish him the very best of luck. Hopefully, he will make it all the way to the final and will share some funny behind-the-scenes stories when he performs here next April.”

Ivo Graham will be performing at the Gala on Saturday 27th October. Tickets for the show, which starts at 8.00 pm, are priced at £15.00.

For more information, or to book tickets, please go to www.galadurham.co.uk or telephone 03000 266 600.

Anyone who booked tickets to see Seann Walsh can swap them for Seann’s Gala Theatre show in April or get a refund. The Gala will be in contact with all ticket holders.
