County Durham families are invited to enjoy a magical Christmas show in Wharton Park.

The Big Snowy Christmas – staged by Little Blue Monster Productions – will be providing festive fun on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th December.

The Big Snowy Christmas will involve the Bear family hosting a Christmas party in their toasty tipi home. The show will start with a seasonal singalong, which will be followed by a performance about how brave Baby Bear helped to save Christmas.

Next, Baby Bear’s Christmas Disco will get everybody dancing before a special visit from Santa rounds off the festivities. Afterwards, kids can meet Santa and the Bear family and have their photos taken.

The artistic director at Little Blue Monster Productions, Bill Davies, said, “We are thrilled to return to Wharton Park with our new festive family show.”

The Big Snowy Christmas is a great way to introduce your little ones to theatre.”

“Our show encourages children to join in and move around, so no need to worry about them sitting still as you will all be singing, dancing and enjoying the party in our tipi.”

“To finish on a magical note, children will be able to meet our special guest Santa Claus.”

On both 15th and 16th December, there will be shows starting at 11.30 am and 2.00 pm. The doors will open half-an-hour before each show. The shows will last for 60 minutes without an interval.

The Big Snowy Christmas is suitable for children aged three and upwards. All children will receive a special invitation from the Bear family in the post prior to the show.

Tickets are priced at £13.50 per person. Family tickets – for four people – are also available for £48.00. To book, please go to www.durham.gov.uk/whartonpark or telephone 03000 266 600.
