Dean Midas and Gordon Hindson Reunite for New Spooky Short Film

Award-winning filmmaker Dean Midas and talented North East writer Gordon Hindson are joining forces once again for a new short film project, following the fantastic reception of their recent family comedy-horror, Alfie’s Dream.

The creative partnership, which successfully blended Midas’s directorial flair, often seen in his acclaimed horror shorts, with Hindson’s engaging, family-friendly script, promises to deliver another unique, fun experience.

Their current collaboration, Alfie’s Dream, which tells the story of a young, football-loving boy facing off against a zombie football team, showcased a refreshing change of pace for Midas and was praised for its juvenile jokes, jolly japes, and family-friendly zombie action, appealing to a wider audience. Written by Hindson, the film featured a cast primarily of young North East actors and is available to watch for free on YouTube.

The duo confirmed their commitment to a new short film, details of which are currently under wraps. However, fans of their collaborative work are eagerly anticipating the next project, which will build on the momentum created by the success of Alfie’s Dream.

Dean Midas, who is renowned for his low-budget horror filmmaking often shot on a mobile phone, and Gordon Hindson, an actor, personal trainer, and support artist who has worked with major stars, expressed their excitement at working together again.

Mr Midas said,

“The new film will start production in January. Expect another fun, spooky ride”

Mr Hindson said,

“I am blown away by the success of Alfie’s Dream. I was only expecting views of around 500, but as we speak it is currently nearer 7,000 views across all platforms”
