Dean Midas’ Low-Budget Horror The Review Compared to The Blair Witch Project
TheTreehouse

A low budget horror short made for just £50 is smashing records for a Willington film maker and is being compared to one of the biggest horror films ever made, The Blair Witch Project.

The Review’s plot centers around two young vloggers, reviewing their stay in a County Durham treehouse for their subscribers. It stars young actress Eleanor Carter as ‘Jamie’, the camera operator, with ‘Ethan’, played by local singer Zackri.  Flic Gibbon also stars as the unsettling neighbour Vicki.

Dean also called upon his good friend, Duncan Thomsen who is a multi-award-winning short film director and Emmy-winning editor.  He is also the most published UK AI artist globally. His historic selfies AI campaign went viral in January making the Jimmy Fallon show in America.

The location, the truly stunning Treehouse in Crook acts like an extra character, with it’s atmospheric backdrop.

Word of mouth promotion has really helped The Review and it’s viewing numbers, with it being called it ‘Scary as hell” and another saying “Raw, tense and unforgettable”
