Taylor Wimpey North East has lifted spirits at Wansbeck General Hospital following the donation of 40 Easter eggs to the children’s unit.
The sweet treats were provided just in time for the Easter weekend and were also accompanied by colouring sheets and pencils, giving patients on the ward fun activities to keep them occupied during their stay.
Brenda Longstaff, Head of Bright Northumbria charity, commented: “We were delighted when Taylor Wimpey North East offered to donate Easter eggs and colouring packs to our children’s unit.
“It’s been a difficult time for our patients, due to the pandemic, and we will always endeavour to make their days brighter in any way we can. We’d like to say a big thank you to Taylor Wimpey for providing us with an opportunity to do this and the Easter eggs and colouring sheets really put smiles on the faces of our patients.”
Sarah Northcott, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey North East added: “As a responsible homebuilder, it’s important we support the communities within which we build in any way we can.
“Easter is the perfect time for us to provide a gift and we were thrilled to be able to donate both the Easter eggs and colouring packs to Wansbeck General Hospital.
“We hope that patients at the children’s unit enjoyed their Easter eggs – which I’m sure didn’t last very long!”
