Ayclive has released the full lineup for 2024, and it’s a scorcher . . . After a well-received event in July 2023, Ayclive is back – returning to the OakLeaf Sports Field in Newton Aycliffe and delivering the finest local artists and an old favourite for the headline 2024.

Ayclive plans to bring you a different headline artiste each year, varying the genre or decade, but always bringing the best that we can, showcasing local acts, and attempting to give something during the event to please everyone.

On this year’s knockout line-up and opening the event is Jukebox Vandals, an all-female party band. Following on is Fossil, playing the classic rock tracks. Next up is The Angelettes, an award-winning sensational Motown tribute show consisting of three glamorous ladies. The Turtle Z’s will then be on the Husqvarna stage, a 4 piece local rock band formed over four years ago emphasising 70’s classic rock such as Thin Lizzy, Pink Floyd, Whitesnake, Bad Company, Santana, Free, Bowie, The Cult, ZZ Top, Judas Priest, etc.

Now That’s What I Call 80s are a seven piece live band playing all the greatest 80s hits, get ready to experience the ultimate 80’s live show! The show is full of the greatest hits from the 1980’s. Think classic tracks like ‘Radio Gaga’ by Queen, ‘Don’t you forget about me’ by Simple Minds and ‘Relax’ by Frankie Goes to Hollywood, as well as pop anthems by Wet Wet Wet, Hugh & Cry, The Communards, Madonna, Cyndi Lauper and Whitney Houston.

Keeping the party atmosphere going will be Beyond Madness, they say that music is the language of the soul, and nothing could be truer for this Band. The artists behind Beyond Madness have earned their reputation as a talented band.

A stunning live tribute to the Manchester / Baggy era including tracks by Stone Roses, Oasis, Happy Mondays, James and many more – Manchester Anthems will bring you the best of Indie / Pop from the 1990s.

Finishing off the festival for 2024 will be the headline act, the superb Real Thing with original vocalists Chris Amoo and Dave Smith. The Real Thing enjoyed success in both the 1970’s & 1980’s with three No 1 hits ‘You To Me Are Everything’, ‘Can’t Get By Without You’ and ‘Can You Feel The Force’, all of which are still featured daily on major UK Radio stations. They also have around one million plays or more on Spotify each month.

Bar and food concessions will be available on the day as well as an ice cream van.

The event is aimed at families and Ayclive are continuing to improve each year, this year an addition for the younger members will be a marquee with a silent disco, circus skills and local face painter Vicky. There will also be a few surprises around the showground to keep you entertained between acts.
