Sunday Times Number One Bestselling British author Adele Parks MBE will be coming to the region to provide a talk at the annual Ladies Lunch in aid of local charity St Cuthbert’s Hospice.

The author, originally from Teesside, will speak about her career writing women’s fiction novels at the event on Friday 21st April 2023 at Ramside Hall Hotel, Durham. She has sold over 4 million copies of her books in the UK and they have been translated into 30 languages worldwide.

“At St Cuthbert’s the staff and volunteers work hard to care for, laugh with, listen to and comfort thousands of individuals and families at an incredibly difficult time. The work they do is so important but obviously dependent upon funds raised. It’s a great privilege to be a small part of that process of helping to raise awareness and donations to allow St Cuthberts to continue to create cherished memories for so many people. As a Teessider, I’m practically a local so feel invested. I love Durham and the people I meet there are always so warm and happy. I look forward to a fun-filled lunch where we know we are not only having a good time but doing some good. A win-win.”Adele Parks MBE

The fundraising event is in its 11th year and welcomes hundreds of guests every year. Attendees will also enjoy a sparkling reception, three-course lunch, entertainment and exclusive shopping stalls.

“The Ladies Lunch is always a great day out. We’re really excited to welcome Adele Parks as our guest speaker to this year’s event. It’s a chance for everyone to get dressed up, enjoy some fizz and fundraising. Every penny raised will help us to continue caring for all who need us in County Durham.”
