For anyone with a love of rocking out and a fascination for the history of guitar music, the perfect show is on its way to Durham’s Gala Theatre.

The Story of Guitar Heroes will see a band of highly talented musicians playing some of the greatest rock tunes from the 1950s onwards.

The band will cover the work of some of the world’s most incredible guitarists, including Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and Brian May.

The show will kick off in the 1950s, with tunes from rock ‘n’ roll legends like Eddie Cochran, Chuck Berry and Hank Marvin of the Shadows.

The Story of Guitar Heroes will then proceed through the years – covering a wide spectrum of genres and featuring the work of virtuosos like Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page, Slash and the electrifying Steve Vai.

Packed with great guitar tunes you’re sure to remember, the show will be enhanced by video screens playing classic footage of great moments in the history of rock ‘n’ roll. A state-of-the-art lightshow will also add to the atmosphere.

Over 30 different guitars will be used to make sure that each song, each era, each star is given just the right sound.
