Hot on the heels of WL Distillery’s popular 1st Edition Gin and offering a fresh twist for those summer months, the award-winning distillery has just launched Wilson’s Gin Club ‘Watermelon and Liquorice’. The gin infusion priced at £37.99 for the 700ml bottle is available for pre-order from the 7th of June 2021 with distribution from 21 June 2021.
County Durham-based WL Distillery continues to make a splash in the gin market with their explosion of flavours and creations. Under the new Wilson’s Gin Club brand range this premium pour of ‘Watermelon and Liquorice’ embodies a refreshing gin, crafted using juniper with the cool refreshing flavours of watermelon and mint balanced with the crisp taste of lime and expertly finished with a twist of liquorice. A delicious blend and a sumptuous summer in a glass tipple for gin enthusiasts.
Scott Wilson-Laing, Owner at WL Distillery said, “We are committed to ensuring a fresh and classic authentic gin experience for customers. Ingredients take centre stage here and we are keen to experiment with a range of flavours to create the ultimate taste sensation for our customers. This will now be our sixth flavour hitting the market alongside our award-winning 1st Edition Gin and limited-edition seasonal festive and Valentine lines. We are delighted with the response that our products have had across the UK and look forward to furthering developments in 2021.”
Crafted in Durham from start to finish the gin is expertly monitored and created by hand in the distillery. Their signature 1st Edition Gin was just six months into production when the gin was awarded Silver at the prestigious 2021 London Spirits Competition. Now in its fourth year, the prestigious competition is annual judging of international spirits organised by the Beverage Trade Network and the Silver medal is an ultimate endorsement in the global spirits industry.
Each bottle is infused with nature using handpicked, measured botanicals and natural mineral spring water to ensure the freshest, most authentic taste. The distillery is committed to combining its passion for gin with capturing the charm and nature of the region.
With their strong North East roots and a community ethos at the heart of the company, Scott was also delighted to recently receive the UK Business Heroes Stamp from the British Chamber of Commerce UK Business Heroes Scheme for his support during the pandemic. The UK Business Heroes Stamp recognised the community work undertaken when the distillery paused production and utilised their raw materials to make sanitiser to help charities, emergency services, the NHS and vulnerable individuals.
Scott added, “I was honoured to receive the unexpected recognition for our work during the pandemic, so many individuals and companies have come together to support others over the months through difficult times and it was humbling to receive the award.”
As seen in Fenwick, Vogue and GQ magazine the explosion of flavours and creations from the award-winning distillery continue be a hit with gin enthusiasts. Wilson’s Gin Club ‘Watermelon and Liquorice’ is now available for pre-order from www.wldistillery.com
